The carcass material decides how long a kitchen cabinet lasts. Plywood handles moisture better and holds screws well, while MDF gives a smooth surface for spray finishes.
Around the sink and hob, choose moisture-resistant board or marine plywood. Melamine and laminate finishes are easy to maintain and resist daily scratches.
Hardware matters too. Good soft-close hinges and runners reduce wear and keep doors aligned.
The DBENA team recommends material combinations based on budget, site conditions and how you use your kitchen.
